Retro Rustic Top Rated C-Stat Hotel
Updated: Jul 11, 2018
Hey ya’ll! Bringing you the second part of my hotel blog. If you don’t know what I’m talking about here is where you can read the first part. I’ll link my video to seeing this hotel down below. Also, find out how you can win a ONE-NIGHT stay here as well! (Gosh I just love giveaways!)
Cavalry Court is the sister property to the George, and it’s right across the street from it. I literally rolled my bags right across the way then BARK now entering Cavalry Court. I say bark because I think this is the first detail you must know. Cavalry Court is dog friendly. Unfortunately I don’t have my own, but that didn’t stop me from playing with others’ buddies while I was there! :)
Cavalry Court is a vintage retro military-esc inspired hotel, so I had myself ready to be thrown into the 60s, but little did I know it was like I was going to be “glamping” in the 60s! I stayed in a suite that had a porch balcony, a living room, a kitchenette (with a legit remodeled refrigerator from the 1960’s), a bedroom, and a large bathroom with a claw tub. Little details like mason jars as the glass sure give it that rustic charm.
Since it is The George’s sister property, the luxury amenities at Cavalry Court are much the same like:
The delicious continental breakfast
Phenomenal location —Located across from The Bonfire Memorial, and situated across from the newly opened College of Engineering and College of Architecture.
Event space— “The Stables” at Cavalry Court can fit up to 300 people for a wedding reception btw… You can get a glimpse of it in my video here.
Unique bar. CC has the Canteen bar and grill where it’s more themed to be a casual restaurant and bar great for watching sports!
Though they have many similarities, they have many qualities that make them unique among each other incase you’re going for a different vibe.
CC is DOG friendly! Bring on your best pal and let me “stay-cation” with you or let him meet up with some friends and live music at the same time you do! Except you can enjoy a beer while you’re doing so… I mean he/she could too if you let him roll that way (#nojudgment)
Laid back atmosphere. This is more the Family Zone. Things like rocking chairs on the front porch, a big pool with cabana’s and a court yard for the kids to play, and doors that open to the outside allow you to feel more relaxed while with your family.
The Canteen is great for you to enjoy the evening with all your friends and play corn-hole, washer, enjoy live music, and bond around the fire pits!
I loved both of these hotels. I felt like I was at home away from home, maybe that’s just the “Texas Kind of Way” (had to throw a song in there before I ended this). No matter the reason you’re stopping in Bryan College Station, I’m happy to highly recommend to you two hotels that will add some southern, rustic, flair to your experience!
