No Where or NOW HERE?
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you had a joyous holiday! It was a different one for me. I experienced my first Tennessee Christmas in Hendersonville, TN. My roommate's fiancé's family actually invited me to spend Christmas with them. The Sites are one amazing family. Our weekend was surrounded by food, games, and lots of love for God and family. It's all I could ask for being away from my home and family during my favorite time of the year. There's something I have been reflecting on during the past few days though. Something that I have found I am guilty of doing that I feel if I paid more attention to this, it would bring so much more movement, success, and feeling into my life.
That's living in the moment.
We're either no where or NOW HERE. They are both spelled the say way, however have their meanings are on complete opposite ends of the spectrum. Traveling as much as I do, and being involved in so many different projects and businesses it is so important for me to be aware of where I am right 'now'. Living in the present. It is so easy to get caught up in all the hustle and bustle of the holidays. Many of you might feel motivated to get back into the swing of things that this thought might come easy to you. Some of you may feel the opposite. Maybe you're feeling lost, like what direction do I go in now?
The thought of being NOW HERE is exactly that. You are now right here in this position, in this place, in this moment.. Embrace the present. It's so easy to get caught up in the many distractions of what others are receiving, doing, ways their living, THAT WE DON'T LIVE OURSELVES. The people that are around you are around you for a reason. Pay attention to them. The job you have right now deserves your effort. Give it just that.
I am so guilty of being caught up in how to do things the right way that all I do is see how others are doing it that I don't end up even completing the task myself until hours later. Who else is guilty?
Enjoy those holiday festivities and the people around you to the fullest, ask yourself: Are you no where or NOW HERE?
This post was a little deep, but hey, I'm just living in the moment ;) Thanks for taking the time to read this friends!
